At 66 years old, Bakersfield resident Linda McAdoo looks like the athletic person she is. She eats right, walks and lifts weights on a daily basis. McAdoo’s picture of health is even more remarkable when you realize that she experienced a triple bypass surgery within the past year. She attributes her good health today to the medical care she received when she first began having symptoms.

“It’s because of my GEMCare doctor that I got the care I needed, when I needed it,” said McAdoo, who said that re-occurring chest pain drove her to see her physician, Jorge Del Toro, M.D. He immediately ordered tests and sent her to a GEMCare cardiologist. She was soon undergoing the surgery that probably saved her life.
